Some Photos for a Friend

Yeah, it's been awhile. I was talking with a friend recently on FB and I told him I would take some photos. These are for him.

Yep - I forgot that I had this blog. I guess I need to add lots of photos to compensate. Yes I take photos of people. Not just sunsets.

Temple Square

I have been frequenting downtown a bit more lately. As a result I am taking some photos. They are all with my cell phone from my car while parked. This one of the conference center is just really pretty to me. The light was hitting it just right and I don't think you can see any of the people that were around.

The one of the Temple was taken through my sun roof.

Black Rock

This is thought to be the last place the Donner party camped before heading across the salt flats which is what really slowed them down. It was a beautiful drove home that night.

Rays of Sunshine

I know, it's been awhile.

A January Winter Morning

Apparently I am obsessed with sunrise and sunset. The colors just stir my soul and talk to me.

Good morning

There were taken while driving into work. Good ol' point and click action.

I love it when the sun is finally up in the mornings during my drive into work.

A Winters Lunch

It was so windy but so clear during my lunch one day.

You can see the snow blowing off the tops of the mountains. That is snow, not clouds.

There was even an eagle hanging out at the park.

I know you can't tell from the photo but that's what this bird is.

I actually thought the clouds were really cool with the mountains rising up above them.

Thanksgiving and Photos

Tonight I was going through some photos when I found this one.

This is my grandpa and our two dogs who are all in Heaven now. I know that my grandpa is taking care of our doggies until we can all be together again. I am so Thankful I have this photo of them all looking so happy. It reminds me how important it is to take photos - and lots of them!

Sunset

What can I say, I love sunsets. These were taken last week. I can't remember which day. I have not done any retouching. Seriously the sky was incredible.

I love sunsets in the summer.

Thistle

Ever since watching Braveheart I have been fascinated with thistles. I see them on the side of the road and want to take photos of them and pick one. Well I finally did! It is still sitting on the floor in my car waiting for me to press it but I now have a thistle flower of my very own.

Orange Flowers and Rocks

I should know what this flower/weed is but I really have no idea.



I loved this rock. I thought once I got it into my editing program I could figure out some cool lighting or something but really all I did warm saturate the color to bring out the green around it. None of the other effects looked right.

Sego Lily

I was able to capture our lovely state flower early in the morning. I wish there had been fields of this flower but it grew here and there by itself. There still were lots but not "fields" of them.

The Photographer

I didn't think about it at the time and I am not where I can change things right now BUT the previous photo "Dinner" was taken by my 5 year old nephew. I gave him my camera during a wedding "lunch" and that was one of his MANY photos.
