The first time Rick and I tried to go to Cancun was in November 2005 and hurricane Wilma decided to keep us from going.
We finally made it in 2007, after all sorts of flight delays. There was a hurricane/tropical storm ragging off the cost of Puerto Rico and that area of the ocean making it so we couldn't get into the ocean.
We were told that prior to Wilma, one could walk "forever" out into the water. As you can see by my photos, it wasn't the case in 2007. In the last photo, that is our family walking on the beach.
